Job Title: Manager – Maintenance

Reporting To: GM – Operations
To ensure the effective maintenance of plant machinery and utilities by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, optimizing energy consumption, minimizing downtime, and leading a team of maintenance professionals.
Maintenance Planning & Execution
Develop and implement detailed maintenance schedules.
Monitor adherence to planned schedules.
Budget & Cost Control
Manage the maintenance budget and control costs efficiently.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and resolve issues with specialized equipment including PLCs and VFDs.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Ensure machine health through proactive maintenance strategies.
Methodology Implementation
Apply TPM, PDCA, and other proven methodologies to enhance maintenance excellence.
MTBF & MTTR Improvement
Reduce Mean Time to Repair and increase Mean Time Between Failures.
Energy Management
Implement initiatives for energy conservation and cost reduction.
Utility Equipment Maintenance
Oversee the upkeep of compressors, DG sets, cranes, etc.
Spare Parts Lifecycle
Monitor and improve the lifecycle and availability of critical spares.
Cross-Departmental Communication
Coordinate effectively with production, engineering, and client departments.
Health & Safety
Maintain and enhance safety practices and policies.
Reporting
Prepare and submit weekly reports on maintenance activities.
Resource Planning
Allocate resources for efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
Preventive Task Monitoring
Lead a team to execute daily preventive maintenance tasks.
Government Liaison
Coordinate with AEN/JEN and other regulatory authorities.
Study OEM Manuals for ongoing skill development.
Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Maintain and update IMS documentation.
Promote Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement.
Lead energy-saving projects.
Coordinate activities across various departments.
Address and manage workplace conflicts.
Training During Probation Period
Orientation on company policies, SOPs, and functional processes.
30-60-90 day activity planning.
In-depth training on ERP & IMS systems.
Overview of TAT, BOM calculations, and visual management systems.
Education: Full-time B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Experience: 10–15 years on a factory shop floor.
